Steve Smallman lives in Staffordshire with his wife and the two youngest of his four children. He has been illustrating books for over thirty years, and writing his own stories for the past five. Steve won the Sheffield Children's Book Award in 2009 with Smelly Peter - The Great Pea Eater. Alison Edgson was born in County Down in Northern Ireland. She studied Visual Communication at the University of Ulster in Belfast. After graduating with a First, she and her husband Jeff moved to an old chapel in the Usk Valley in Wales.
