Two South African women, Jeanne & Ronette set out to walk the Camino in Europe. They started in France from Orléans, just south of Paris. They stopped to reassess the route forward after the first 7 days of walking which was grueling and terrifically challenging. Due to a few unnerving incidences, getting lost due to bad route markings and encountering no other hikers, they decided to take a train from Tours. A few hours later they got off at the most popular start of the Camino Frances or The French Way, Saint-Jean-Pied-De-Port, a small town situated in the Pyrenean foothills on the French side of the France Spain border. Immediately encountering plenty of fellow pilgrims, they knew the next few weeks will be totally different. They managed to walk a total of 1,048 km all the way to Santiago de Compostela in Spain - through rain storms, over mountains, enduring heat waves, bites, pains and aches they didn't know was possible. This book will be a collection of images and anecdotes from Jeanne & Ronette's extreme hike.
