Lenore won’t marry Hal until he has a better job, so she throws a party and flatters his boss in hopes of promoting Hal's career. Hal, tired of Lenore’s domineering ways, dates Betty and finds she’s more to his taste. He breaks up with Lenore: “You don’t want a fiancee! You want a yes man!”
